QUEEN’S PARK CLUB. ECLECTIC MATCH COMPLETED. The second round of an eclectic match commenced a fortnight ago was played on the Queen’s Park links on Saturday afternoon when a fair sized field took out cards. The course was very wet and in places very soft, but the afternoon remained fine and on the whole conditions were fairly good for golf. The low scoring of the A grade players in an unofficial medal competition played in conjunction with the second round of the eclectic match showed that a heavy course was not an obstacle to good golf. Following were the best cards in the eclectic match:— A Grade.

WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, April 22. In the final of the Canterbury women’s championship Miss Fleming beat Miss Loughnan four up and three to play. A WONDERFUL “CHEAP” BALL. The prevalent desire for economy frequently leads to disappointing purchases Golfers can enjoy the benefits of playing with a really good, inexpensive ball by buying the Dunlop “Nimble” at 1/9. This is not a “remade,” but a special product of “Dunlop” to provide a truly dependable ball at a low price for beginners and all who wish to economize. The “Nimble” is ■ distinguished from other cheap balls by its long flight and accuracy on the green .... it stands up to “hard work” and is wonderful value at one shilling and ninepence.—Advt.
