BRITAIN AND PERSIA.
(United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 6.30 p.m.) London, April 22. The Daily Herald’s special correspondent says that the Shah of Persia and Sir John Cadman initialled a preliminary agreement at Teheran ending the Anglo-Persian oil dispute. Persia will receive 21 per cent instead of 16 per cent of the Anglo-Persian Oil Company’s profits besides a small percentage of the profits of subsidiary companies. A renewal of the Darcy Concession for sixty years was secured, also the right to exploit vast, untouched oil fields in the northern provinces of Persia.
