LODGE MEETINGS

MANCHESTER UNITY. At the fortnightly meeting of the Loyal St. George Lodge, N.G. Bro. Roberts presided over a good attendance. The Prov. G.M., Bro. Kelman, accompanied by I.P.G.M. Bro. Stenhouse, D.P.G.M. Bro. Reidy, P.P.G.M. Bro. McKenzie, P.T., and P.P.G.M. Bro. Edmonds, P.S., paid an official visit to the lodge and were accorded the usual honours. After sick pay was passed to various brothers, the toast of the visitors was responded to by G.M. Sister Marshall, of the Loyal Winton Lodge, P.G. Sister Dixon, of the Loyal Hearts of Oak Lodge, and N.G. Bro. Williamson, of the Loyal Shamrock, Rose and Thistle Lodge. It was decided to open the lodge at 7 p.m. next lodge night when the Foresters’ Lodge will be entertained at a card tournament. After the lodge was closed a dance was held.

On Saturday, in spite of the weather, N.G. Bro. Perrin presided over a fair meeting of members of the Loyal United Juvenile Lodge and the officers gave a good rendering of the ritual considering that it was their first time in office. A lecture on the ritual was given by the P.S. Bro. McKnight. After the lodge was closed games were indulged in.
