(W.S. and Co.): Wright, Stephenson and Company. GENERAL NOTES. Arrivals yesterday were those of the Shell Oil Company's motor tanker Paua and the Canterbury Shipping Company’s coaster Storm. The Paua discharged bulk oil and sailed at 5 p.m. to return to the north. The coastal steamer Storm discharged general cargo and afterwards loaded for northern ports. She sailed for Dunedin at 8 o’clock last night The Tasmania is due at Bluff from Lyttelton on May 26. She sails on May 30 for London direct. The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Maimoa, which left Bluff on February 23 for London, Liverpool and Glasgow, is reported to have reached Liverpool last Saturday. The vessel is scheduled to leave London on April 26 for Suva. Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, Timaru and New Plymouth. She is due at Port Chalmers on June 9. The freighter Waipiata left Auckland on Thursday afternoon for Bluff where she is due next Friday. She sails the following day for Wellington and Auckland via northern ports. The Huntingdon is due at Bluff at noon to-day. She is scheduled to leave for Dunedin on the following Thursday. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Remuera is expected at Bluff on May 23 from Wellington. Lyttelton and Port Chalmers to load for London. She sails about the 24th Inst for Lyttelton. LONDON’S SHIPPING. During the week ended March 3. 1071 vessels, representing 889,421 net register tons, exclusive of those in ballast, used the Port of London. 415 vessels (699,254 net register tons) were to and from Empire and foreign ports and 656 vessels (190,167 net register tons) were engaged in coastwise traffic. More vessels used the dry docks of the Port of London Authority for overhaul and repairs during 1932 than during the previous twelve months. The 303 vessels docked represented 3,227,136 gross tons. Six vessels discharged meat cargoes in the Port of London during the week; four from Australia and New Zealand, the s.s. Port Sydney, Narkunda. Rangitata and lonic and two from South America the s.s. Princesa and Stuart Star. Altogether 384,000 carcasses of lamb and mutton. 85.000 quarters of beef, quantities of pork and rabbits and approximately 40,000 packages of sundries were distributed to the London market and throughout the country or placed into cold storage.
