REDUCED INTEREST
CANADIAN SAVINGS BANKS. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Ottawa, April 20. A reduction from 3 to per cent, in the interest rates on savings bank deposits in Canada effective from May 1 was announced to-night by the Minister of Finance, Mr Rhodes.
