SUNDAY SCHOOL PRIZES

CENTRE BUSH AND LIMEHILLS. The prize-giving of the Centre Bush and East Limehills Presbyterian Sunday Schools took place in the Centre Bush Church. Prior to the distribution of the prizes, the Rev. J. Cawley addressed a suitable Christmas message to the children and spoke of the beneficial work of the Sunday School teachers, who, he declared, were Empire builders and their work ranked amongst the greatest in the world. Associated with Mr Cawley on the platform were the following teachers of the two Sunday Schools, the teachers assisting in the prize distribution; Miss Tippit, Miss MacGillivray, Miss Stewart, Miss Clinch, Mrs Robertson and Miss Cawley (Centre Bush) and Misses Hewson, Coombes and Hammond (East Limehills). Prizes were awarded for passes in the Assembly examinations and according to merit for the year’s work. The maximum of marks for each day was ten and of these five were allotted for lessons learnt and five for attendance, punctuality and behaviour. The following are the prize lists:— Centre Bush.
