EMPIRE SHIPPING SERVICES. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) London, December 23. The Daily Telegraph gives prominence to an article dealing with America’s invasion of the Empire shipping services, including Australia and New Zealand, and says many shipowners favour Empire consultation as to the possibility of legislation for excluding foreigners from the inter-Empire routes. MATSON LINE’S COMPETITION. Sydney, December 23. The Minister of Commerce, Mr Stewart, informed a deputation representative of the maritime unions that he would bring before the Government without delay the question of the competition of the Matson Line with Australian shipping.
