RADIOLOGIST SUFFERS DEATH OF M. GEORGE SHARET LIFE-LONG MARTYRDOM (United Press Assn.— Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 10.5 p.m.) Paris, December 22. His life-long martyrdom in the cause of science was among the tributes paid to the memory of the great French radiologist, M. George Sharet. who died studying to the last the effects of disease on his own flesh contracted by a radium burn during war-time.

M. Sharet had since undergone many operations, but continued the work of radium research. His sufferings seemed to be only a further incentive. After one of his severest operations the late President Doumer visited the hospital and pinned the Cross of the Legion of Honour on M. Sharet’s breast.
