WOMAN FOUND GUILTY. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, December 21. Charged with false pretences Olive Forbes Goodwin was to-day sentenced by Mr E. Page, S.M., to six months’ imprisonment on each of two charges, the terms to be concurrent. William Edwin Goodwin, her husband, was jointly charged, but the Magistrate said there was no satisfactory evidence on which he could convict the male accused. The cases arose out of valueless cheques for £ll 11/and £2 15/-. The female accused had a long list of offences for credit by fraud and vagrancy.
