FINANCIAL CHAOS
SOVIET RUSSIA DEFICIENCIES IN WAGE FUNDS CRISIS DEVELOPS (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 7 p.m.) London, December 21. The Daily Mail says that M. Stalin is facing Russia’s most serious political and economic crisis. A special financial commission discovered enormous deficiencies in the wage funds, and millions of workers are threatened with a cessation of pay. Chaos in national finance is now admitted. The people are wrecking M Stalin’s plans for agricultural and industrial development. The newspaper Pravda says that high officials are criminally ignoring the Government’s instructions, and the rank and file are absenting themselves from work, thus reducing productivity to a dangerously low level.
