WINTON NOTES
SUNDAY SCHOOL BREAK-UP. On Tuesday afternoon the Sunday School Pupils of the Winton Anglican Church gathered at the vicarage when the prizes for the year were distributed and altogether an enjoyable afternoon was spent in games. Prizes were distributed as follows:—Class I.: Denis Humphrey 1, Nellie Mathias 2, Lorna White 1 Class 2.: Nita Pierce 1, Joyce Harvey 2, Sylvia Horsburgh 3. Class 3.: A. Mathias 1, Bob Lindsay 2, Bob McGillivray 3. Class 4.: Tom Brandford and Sylvia Dixon first equal, Keith Lea 2, Ken Lindsay 3. Infants.: Ruth Lindsay 1, Nerena Symons 2, Margery Egerton 3. Prior to the breaking-up for the Christmas holidays the Perm 11. pupils of the Winton District High School, in wishing their teacher, Mr W. Anderson the season’s greetings presented him with a handsome pipe and smokers’ requisites in appreciation of the interest he had taken in them both in and out of school, during the year. In connection with the list of attendance certificates gained by pupils of the Winton D.H.S. the following additions have been made: Standard 2: Myra McDermott. Standard 3.—Elizabeth Smith. Standard 4.: Anita Pierce. Standard 5.: Robert Veint.
