RIVERSDALE NOTES

(From Our Correspondent.) Last Thursday a good crowd gathered on the sports ground for the annual school picnic. Weather conditions were ideal and a very pleasant afternoon was spent. The children are indebted to Mrs D. Windle for her generosity in supplying a large tin of lollies. An afternoon tea was kindly supplied by the ladies. The following were the officials in charge of the various events held during the afternoon:—Handicapper, Mr J. McKenzie; starter, Mr J. Kelly; marshal, Mr E. Kingsbury; judges, Messrs G. Kerr, A. Austin, and G. Green. The events resulted as follows :■ — Girls and boys, 5 and under.—Mack Kingsbury 1, Harold Hodge 2, Margaret Dawson and Ivan Dawson 3. Girls, 6 to 8: Hazel.
