SWIMMING
A NEW RECORD. (Per United Press Association.) Dunedin, December 20. Swimming at the intermediate and junior provincial championships this evening, W. J. Jarvis, the intermediate title holder, won the 100 yards in 59sec, the first time a minute has been broken by an Otago swimmer. Jarvis was never extended and won easily from R. Geddes.
