SOUTHLAND ASSOCIATION. JUNIOR ADVISORY COMMITTEE. The fortnightly meeting of the Junior Advisory Committee of the Southland Cricket Association was held last night, Mr P. Fougere presiding over a good attendance of delegates. It was decided to recommend to the Management Committee that Messrs R. Bell and D. Coakley be appointed junior representative selectors in place of Messrs R. Taylor and N. Poole. It was resolved to report to the association that the matting on No. 3 wicket at Queen’s Park was in bad condition and that all one-piece mattings for concrete wickets were short. A recommendation was made that all junior players should be classified by the association. The next meeting was fixed for November 17. UMPIRES FOR TO-MORROW.
