The opinion that the right-hand rule should apply to bicycles as well as to other vehicles was expressed by Mr Justice Herdman during the hearing of a street collision claim in the Supreme Court in Auckland. Counsel in the case had complained that there was no definite rule for the guidance of cyclists as there was for other traffic.
