(Per United Press Association.) Wellington, November 2. Alternative proposals to the donors of the New Zealand Herald trophy put forward by the Hawkes Bay and East Coast Aero Clubs, were considered by the council of the New Zealand Aero Club. The Hawkes Bay suggestions were approved and a sub-committee was appointed to go into technical details. The conditions suggested are that a reliability race be held over a triangular or four-sided course, in covering which pilots will be required to maintain a certain ground speed. The turning points should be obscure ones so that pilots could not fly to such points by a knowledge of the country, but have to §teer a compass course. It held that such race would also include a test of landing ability. It was decided that the trophy should be competed for alternately at the North and South Island pageants.
