LOAN AGREED TO
COMMONWEALTH BANKS. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 12.28 a.m.) Melbourne, October 30. The Premiers’ Conference has been notified that the banks have agreed to the internal loan of £8,000,000 at 3 J per cent, for ten years at par, £4,000,000 of which will be devoted to public works in various States and the remainder for funding Treasury bills.
