An exceptionaally heavy yield of milk has just been given by a pedigree Friesian cow at the Murvale Stud Farm, Pakuranga, 981 b of milk being delivered in 24 hours under ordinary herd conditions, comprising 521 b in the morning and 461 b at the evening milking. The cow was bred at the Hobson Farm, Wharepapa, about five years ago. For the past month it has been giving well over eight gallons a day.
