WORKERS’ COMPENSATION BILL (From Our Parliamentarj' Reporter.) Wellington, October 12. A ruling that Mr H. E. Holland’s Workers’ Compensation Amendment Bill involved appropriation and therefore could not be sponsored by a private member was given by Mr Speaker in the House this evening when Mr Holland moved that the Bill be read a second time pro forma and referred to the Labour Bills Committee.

Mr Speaker said that if the House wished, however, to refer the Bill to 3 committee that could be done. The House agreed to that course aru< the Bill was read a second time pro forma.
