Last year motoring offences in Great Britain totalled 339,144, and 292,693 persons were involved. The figures for 1930 were 332,575 and. 288,875. In 1931 the cases dealt with by police caution numbered 87,800, as against 99,467 in 1930. The convictions and fines for 1931 and 1930, respectively, were as follows:—Cases, 198,498 and 202,368; persons, 172,969 and 171,566; fines (exclusive of costs), £205,312 and £202,406,
