ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES
FOUND DROWNED. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, October 7. Francis John Kerr, an elderly man, who lived in Laing's road, Lower Hutt, was found drowned in the Hutt river. Deceased lived with a daughter and was in good health when he went for his morning walk. He leaves a grownup family. KNOCKED DOWN AND KILLED. Napier, October 7. John Cushing, a well known resident of Clive who was knocked down by a car yesterday, died this morning. The deceased bad just left a car driven by Constable Murray at Clive and was crossing the street when an approaching car knocked him down, one wheel jMMing over the victim's neck.
