To-day’s practice is at 1.30 pun. for all. If the afternoon is fine, the practice will be held at Rugby Park; if wet, at the Girls’ High School. Examinations. Candidates for Child Nurse and Senior Nurse badges are asked to visit Karatane on October 22 and 29. The examination will take place in the first week' in November. Guides are once again reminded that they must senji an apology before the examination if they cannot attend, as it upsets the examiner’s arrangements and is. most annoying. Several Rangers did not turn up on Saturday afternoon, and none of the girls entered from one company for the Laundress, Homemaker and Domestic badges turned up to any of these exams. The examiners give up a great deal of their time and try to arrange to suit all girls if possible. . The Oreti Hut. Now that the summer weather is ahead, Mrs Cordery, Camp Adviser, hopes that the guides will make good use of their Oreti Hut, which will be available every week-end. Mrs Cordery will be in camp for the Labour week-end with the Central Rangers. If other guiders wish to take their girls over for that week-end, will they please get in touch with Mrs Cordery as soon as possible? The Riversdale and Waikaia guides will be in camp from January 7 to January 14, and the Gore Guides from January 21 to January 28. Would other guiders wishing to camp there please fill up all available dates, and let Mrs Cordery know their plans as soon as possible. I believe the daffodils at present blooming over at the Oreti site are a picture —one which I hope you will all see for yourselves. The Rally.
