PRIME MINISTER’S APPEAL. EXAMPLE OF EARLY SETTLERS. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, September 26. At the annual reunion of members of the Wellington Early Settlers’ Association a message was read from the Prime Minister stating: I would like to take this opportunity of urging the people of the Dominion to continue to co-operate wholeheartedly in the efforts which are being made to overcome the depression and its attendant evils and to meet with courage renewed from the example, of the early settlers the difficulties which are still before us. If they. do, then I am confident that New Zealand will be one of the first countries to be restored to prosperity.
