Miss Irene Morton, of Christchurch, is spending a holiday with her aunt, Mrs G. Bennett, Forest Hill. K(iss Reah Mitchell, of Balclutha, spent a few days with Mr and Mrs C. D. Moore last week. Mrs J. S. Nelson, of InVercargill, spent the week-end with Mrs M. G. McArthur.
Miss Vera Ward, of Invercargill, was the recent guest of Miss A. Swale, Limehills.
Miss Eileen Collett, of Hokitika, is holidaying with Miss Myrtle Collett, Forest Hill.
Misses Eileen and Doris Baird, who have been holidaying at Winton and Forest Hill, returned to Edendale on Wednesday. Miss Bessie Sutherland, of Invercargill, is the guest of Miss M. Gill, Park street.
Miss S. Norman, Forest Hill, spent a few days with Miss Elza Pierce last week.
At the Central Bowling Club’s euchre tournament on Monday evening last the ladies’ prize donated by Mr J. Doherty was won by Miss G. Casey, while Mr F. Gill and Mr E. Harris tied for the men’s prize. In the play-off the former was successful.
Mrs O. A. B. Smith spent a few days in Invercargill last week. Miss May Norman, Forest Hill, is holidaying with Mrs W. Clark, jun. Miss Hazel Hamilton spent last week in Invercargill as the guest of Miss Mollie Hamilton, Don street. ' Mr and Mrs G. Gifford, of Invercargill, spent the week-end with Mrs J. Campbell. Misses Marjorie and Netta Kettle, Limehills, were the guests of Miss Maureen Lindsay during the week. Mr and Mrs James Dixon, Dean Forest, have been looking up old friends at Limehills. Miss Freda Kerr, Browns, was the week-end guest of Miss Isobel Lindsay, Park street.
Mr and Mrs W. Clark, jun., Mrs W. Brandford and Mr W. Cleine journeyed to Invercargill last week to take part in the golf tournament. Mrs A. Liddell, Otautau, has been the guest of Miss D. Wilson, Park street.
Miss A. Lee, Nightcaps, has been visiting her sister, Mrs E. Ward. Mr and Mrs G. Lindsay and family, Park street, motored to Dipton and spent the week-end with Mr and Mrs Gordon Hayward.
