WAITAKI OLD BOYS
JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS. A meeting of the executh® of the Southland branch of the Waitaki Old Boys’ Association was held yesterday, Mr B. W. Hewat presiding over a full attendance. It was decided to hold the annual meeting and reunion of Southland members on Saturday, August 13, the date of the Auckland v. Southland Rugby match. In lieu of the usual dinner a smoke concert will follow the annual meeting. A considerable amount of correspondence was received from the main committee concerning the jubilee celebrations which are to be held in Oamaru next May. The following provisional programme was received: Saturday, May 13, 1933.—10 a.m., Enrolment at school; 2.30 p.m., Garden party at school; Evening, dinner and smoke concert. Sunday, May 14—Morning, free; 2 p.m., Assembly at hall of memories; 7 p.m., evening church service in hall of memories. Monday, May 15.—10 a.m, roll call, official speeches, photographs etc; 2.30 p.m., football, general athletics, etc; 8.30 p.m., ball. The branch secretary reported that he had already received many inquiries from Southland old boys who proposed attending the jubilee.
