RIFLE SHOOTING

SOUTHLAND REGIMENT CLUB. The Regimental Miniature Rifle Club fired a handicap trophy competition at the Drill Hall last Tuesday evening. There was a good attendance and the trophy was won by Pte. E. Service. The highest score off the rifle was 76 obtained by Cpl. A. Pomeroy. At a subsequent practice shoot the highest scorers were: Pte. H. Double 73, Pte. R. Horsham 70, Pte. E. Service 68. The following is a list of scores with handicap for the trophy shoot:—Pte. E. Service 69—8.8—77.8: Pte. R. Double 68 —9.6 —77.6; Cpl. A. Pomeroy 76—1.6— 77.6; Ptes. G. Jenkinson 64—12.8—76.8; S.
