LEWIS PASS ROAD
WORK AUTHORIZED.
UNEMPLOYMENT BOARD.

Wellington, July 28.
The acting-Minister of Employment (the Hon. Adam Hamilton), when interviewed after to-day’s meeting of the Unemployment Board, stated that the board has considered matters which made it appear that work on the Lewis Pass Road would require to be held up. Matters had been cleared up and the Minister announced that arrangements would now be made for the work to be proceeded with.
