(Per United Press Association.) Wellington, July 28,
No action will be taken by the Government to remove the present duties on wheat imports, according to a statement made by the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes) to-day. Discussing the proposed legislation for the next session, which will probably open in about the second week in September, the Prime Minister said the Government had no intention of interfering with the present wheat duties.
