MOTOR LICENSES
DECREASE IN NUMBER. FEWER NEW MACHINES. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, July 28. Motor licenses issued for the current year show a decrease of approximately seven per cent, compared with last year’s figures. Registrations of cars and trucks totalled 136,250, a decrease of 9000, and of motor cycles 18,000, a decrease of 2809. Registrations of new machines were well below the previous year's figures, 7913 cars and trucks and 1988 cycles being registered during the year ended June 30, 1932, compared with 13,692 cars and trucks and 2727 cycles during the previous year.
