BITTER CAMPAIGN
GERMAN ELECTION JEWS WITH CATHOLIC PARTY HITLER POPULAR (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 7 p.m.) Berlin, July 28. It is understood that the Jewish vote on Sunday will go to the Catholic Centre which the Jews regard as the only party capable by numbers and influence to keep the anti-Semitism of the Hitlerites in check. Correspondents appear to be unanimous that Herr Hitler will not have an absolute majority. The election' campaign is being conducted with extreme ferocity in posters and cartoons in the newspapers. The Nazis vilify their opponents, the Communists and the Socialists retorting in such a way as to suggest that the Nazis are semi-bestial creatures who spend their time in terrorizing the people and committing murders. Herr Hitler is touring the country in an aeroplane, and everywhere is being received by monster audiences.
