COLAC BAY NOTES
MUTTONBIRDERS’ BALL (From Our Correspondent.) The Muttonbirders’ Return Ball was held hi the Drill Hall on Wednesday 15th. Music was supplied by Messrs Shore (piano) and Beadle (drums and effects), the duties of M.C. was carried out by Mr D. Wadsworth. Amongst those present were Mesdames Dawson, Cross, Wadsworth, Whittle, Egerton, Wilson; Misses Wixon, Cross, Egerton, McKay, Portnick, Leader, McFadgen (2), Stevens, Goodwillie, Wixon (Pahia), Wilson (Riverton) McFadgen (Otautau), Latchford (Riverton), Baxter (Riverton); Messrs McKay, Belsham, Dallas, Dryden, Woods, Wadsworth (2), Dawson, Fisher, Hodges, Te Au (2), Beer, McLennon, Egerton, Whittle, Thomas, Bates, Shore, Beadle, Latchford, O’Sullivan (Invercargill) Dent (2), Scott, Sharman, Stevens (2), Dawson, Hughs, Taylor, Neilson, Mason, Walker and others. Miss H. Belsham (Bluff) has been spending a few days with her parents, Mr and Mrs F. Belsham, Point Road, Colac. Mr and Mrs Te Au (Papatotara) spent a few days in Colac last week. Miss C. Wixon, Pahia, is staying with her grandmother, Mrs Te Au, Point Road. Mrs Townsend (Invercargill) is staying with Mr and Mrs J. Pont. Mr and Mrs E. McCulloch and Miss D. Cleaver are spending a few days at Spar Bush as the guests of Mr and Mrs McCulloch, sen. Mrs E. Bates and family are holidaying at Orawia. Mr C. A. Bates left for Papatotara on Wednesday morning.
