EASTERN DISTRICT FIXTURES. TO-DAY’S MATCHES. The Eastern Southland Rugby SubUnion’s senior and junior grade fixtures will be continued this afternoon, when the principal attraction at Gore will be the game between the Edendale and Pioneer first fifteens. Last week the southern team furnished a surprise by defeating Mataura and may make a good showing against Pioneer. At Mataura Albion should score another two points for the shield as their form last week was particularly good. The various clubs will be represented in to-day’s matches as follows:— Pioneer II.: Voice, Briggs, Phillips, McLay, Gerken (2), Donaldson (2), Columb, McAra, Sheddon, Trussler, Jenkins, Curtain, King, Stark, Bannerman, Mason and O’Brien. Pioneer I.: J. Taylor, M. Taylor, Fitzgerald, Windle, Crawford, O’Shea, Tutty, Gibson, Christie, Mair, Ritchie, Johnston, Matheson, Forbes and W. Mair. Albion II.: Leslie, Cuttriss, Norton, Turvey, Edwards, Latta, Ritchie, Edgar, McDowall, Piper, Martin, Fitzgerald, Leishman, Small, Smith and Bailey. Albion I.: E. Wallis, Loder, C.
