FORTROSE NOTES
(From Our Correspondent.) A euchre social held by the Toe Toes Library Committee took place in the social hall on Tuesday evening last and was well attended. The winners were Miss M. Richardson and Mr J. H. Wray. A special meeting of the Southern District Returned Soldiers’ SubAssocjgtion was held at Tokanui on Saturday evening last, Mr J. Robson presiding over Messrs F. Carr, K. Fraser, J. Neil and W. Shirley, secretary. A discussion took place concerning the sub-association’s by-laws, and it was decided that the executive look into these with a view to modifying them to fit in more closely with local requirements. As the financial year ends on July 30 it was resolved that a general meeting and reunion be held on that date.
