WINTER SHOW PRIZES. The Otautau Winter Show was continued on Thursday evening, when there was a large attendance. Prior to the auction sale, conducted by Mr A. R. Simon, Mr Fisher (president) took the opportunity to thank all those who had contributed in any way to the success of the function. In the pen drawing in the school class for Form 1, the prize was won by Master W. S. Barrett, a pupil of the Drummond school, with Jean Linklater, a pupil of the same school, taking second place. Following were the most points’ prizes:—Most points in dairy produce, Mrs Frank Marshall, Otautau. Most points in classes 5 to 62, Miss Gerrard, Winton. Most points in baking, Miss Gerrard. Most points in classes for girls under 17, Misses A. Collie and D. Browning (equal). Most points in classes 51 and 52, Miss Gerrard. Collection of bottled preserved fruit, Mrs Trotter. Collection of sauces, Miss Gerrard. Collection of pickles, Mrs W. Smellie. Collection of jams and jellies, Mrs R. F. Lyon, Wairio. Collection of chutney, Mrs R. F. Lyon.
