SOCCER
CORINTHIANS v. RANGERS ON SATURDAY, A meeting of the Southland Football Association was held last evening. The draw for Saturday's matches in the McDonald Cup competition is as follows:— — _ Senior: Corinthians v. Rangers; referee, Mr W. Reddlngton. : Central v. Invercargill, referee, Mr A. Gardiner. Schools: Middle v. North; Waihopai v. South. For June 3: Corinthians are endeavouring to arrange a game with a team from one of the boats which will be at Bluff on that day. Failing this, it is desired that all Soccer players attend the Showgrounds with the object of forming a team to play Corinthians. A selection committee was appointed consisting of Messrs T. Y. Penman, J. Galbraith and W. Reddington.
