“COME TO DUNEDIN." WEEK OF GAIETY COMMENCED. (Per United Press Association.) Dunedin, May 29. Come to Dunedin week was inaugurated on Saturday, and after the mayor, Mr R. S. Black, had formally set the ball rolling, the citizens gave themselves over to the carnival spirit and entered with zest and. enthusiasm into a wide variety of festivities and diversions. . . . . The whole length of the main street was bedecked with festoons of coloured lights at night, making a gay and brilliant spectacle, which was enhanced by attractive shop window displays. Illuminated tramcars also traversed the principal streets, which were thronged by large crowds till a late hour.
