gore executive, MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the executive committee of the Gore A and P. Association was held .- on . Saturday afternoon when Mr Hugh Smith presided over the following: ’ Messrs D. Dickie, G. Smith, T. Fleming, P. Keur, J. Bruce, R. K. Dodds, Henry Smith, W. Y. Dicklei P. Cullen, W. G. MacKay, J. Edwards, G. Herron, E. Dodds, C. Tripp, W. G. Ladbrook, T. Logan, A. Brock, H. Mclntyre, A. J. Cameron and G. Breen. . The Royal Agricultural Society of New Zealand, Wellington, requested that the Gore A. and P. Association send the names of judges recommended by the association to the various breed societies concerned., The printing of 1932 “List of Judges” was being held up owing to the A. and P. Associations failing to'do this. Also that it send all remits for the annual conference to the Wellington office, as the annual meeting of the society was to be held on June 22. The Hon. C. E. Macmillan,_ Minister of Agriculture, forwarded a circular to the effect that all farmers making application for labour for the purpose of destroying noxious weeds were to be granted relief workers free of wages cast. Details of numbers of men, days and hours of work, transport, etc., were to be arranged between the farmer and the- local Unemployment Committee. He urged that all farmers take advantage of this offer, not only in order to improve their holdings, but also to increase the morale of the relief worker by finding him something useful to do. It was reported that Mr W- Anderson, Freshford, had recided to withdraw his resignation. The chairman was deputed to represent the Gore A. and P. Association at the annual meeting, of the Royal Agricultural Society of New Zealand, to be held in Wellington on June 22. A hearty vote of thanks to the committee for the way in which the annual concert had been conducted was carried on the motion of Mr T. Logan.
