HIGH PRICES
VALUABLE LONDON LAND. The extraordinary price at which land is sold in the best parts of London is illustrated by the recent sale of a tiny piece of land in Mayfair. The section measured only 19,230 square feet', less than half an acre, and fetched £58,000, a little more than £3 a square foot! In some parts of England land is being sold at five shillings a foot frontage.
