Mr J. A. Mollison has left Lympne for Cape Town in an attempt to beat the record. Mr Mollison, who described his Puss Moth as a "flying petrol tank,” carries 120 gallons, giving a range of 2000 miles. He hopes to reach Cape Town in four days, following the West African route never hitherto attempted. His first stop will be at Beniabbes.
