RELIEF OF UNEMPLOYED
NEW VICTORIAN SCHEME. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 7.45 p.m.) Melbourne, March 23. Subject to the approval of the Loan Council the Victorian Government proposes to establish a fund of £7,000,000 to cover a two-year plan for the immedate relief of the unemployed. The Government desires to abolish the sustenance system as far as possible and in its place provide reproductive work at award wages.
