GIRLS’ HIGH SCHOOL
■ ANNUAL SPORTS PROGRAMME NOT COMPLETED. The Southland Girls’ High School annual sports commenced yesterday morning, when heats were run off, and in the afternoon the finals continued until 3.30, when steady rain made it necessary to postpone the remaining events. These will be completed to-day, weather permitting. A fair number of visitors were present, including pupils from the Boys’ High School. Excellent entries were received, the record number of 98 entering for the block on head race.
