PRINCESS’S LOSS
MINIATURE COTTAGE BURNED. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) London, March 21. The miniature thatched cottage which the Welsh people presented to Princess Elizabeth on her sixth birthday was burned while en route from Cardiff to the London Ideal Homes’ Exhibition at Olympia. The Welsh craftsmen who built the cottage have been hurried to Olympia to reconstruct it. DUKE OF YORK’S REGRET. (British Official Wireless.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, March 21. The Duke of York, in a telegram to the Lord Mayor of Cardiff, expressed deep regret at the destruction of Princess Elizabeth's model house, which was a wonderful specimen of Welsh craftsmanship. The furniture, which is in keeping with the model house, was in a separate vehicle and is safe.
