FORGED NOTES
CIRCULATION IN GERMANY. fCnlted Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) London, March 22. A message from Stuttgart states that raiding a printing works conducted by a man named Streither, the police seized forged German currency notes to the nominal value of £lOO,OOO. It is believed that false notes valued at £400,000 are already in circulation. Twelve arrests were made. The raid followed a visit by an acquaintance to Streither. On opening a door usually locked and seeing sheets of forged notes on a table, the visitor exclaimed: “What silly game are you up to here?”
