Amenities For Guests

It is a pleasant surprise for a guest r on retiring at night, to find under her pillow a sachet of sweet smelling lavender. Flowers —a few in one vase—are always a welcome addition to the guest room. Mending materials, with needles, scissors and thimble, for emergency repairs, if provided, may obviate the embarrassment of having to ask for such necessaries. A few sheets of note paper and some envelopes, placed in an attractive blotter for the guest’s use, may prove useful and a selection of books chosen to suit the taste of the reader is sure to be appreciated. Such amenities, trivial though they may seem, will do much to enhance the comfort and wellbeing of guests, and atld to the joy of entertaining.
