METHODS OF ADVERTISING. "Abominable printing waste” was the description applied to Empire Marketing Board posters by Mr Buchanan-Taylor, Lyons’ publicity manager, at. Oxford in September last. He cited the case of a poster advertising teak being exhibited in “poverty areas,” asking how much teak would be sold as a result. "There is less wastage in an advertisement in a good-class newspaper than in any other form of advertising,” added Mr Buchanan-Taylor. “At least we know that newspapers are read even if it cannot be guaranteed that every purchaser reads all the contents,”
