(Front Our Correspondent.) A fairly large yarding came forward for the Otautau stock sale at Otautau on Friday, when there was a good attendance of buyers and others interested. There was a good demand for young sheep, but aged ewes were on a par with previous sales. Forward rape lambs were also keenly sought after. Mr C. Affleck, Grassy Creek, topped the market with a nice line of 2-tooth ewes, which realized 20/8. LONDON WOOL SALES. The Bank of New Zealand advise having received the following advice from their London office under date March 16: —The sales have closed firm for all kinds of wool. Compared with the opening of this series, prices for all kinds of crossbreds are a little firmer. Current quotations for wools of average condition:— , Merinos, 60/64’s lOld to 114 d per lb; ordinary do. 8d to 9d; inferior do. 6Jd to 7Jd. Halfbreds: 56's 91d to lOld; 50/56’s 7jd to 9d.
