FIRE BRIGADES
DEMONSTRATION AT GORE. The organization work in connection with the Southern Districts Fire Brigades’ Association’s annual demonstration to be held at Gore on Easter Saturday is now well forward and it is confidently expected that the fixture will be a success. It is now several years since the demonstration was held at Gore, but the interesting nature of the competitions will be remembered by those who witnessed them. On that occasion the Gore Brigade was represented by an exceptionally strong team and came through with an excellent record. Tlie .team to represent it on Saturday has spent a great deal of time in training for the various events, while other brigades have shown equal keenness. The events, therefore, should be closely contested and an interesting day’s sport should be provided for those who patronize the demonstration.
