CITY GUARDS CLUB. The City Guards Defence Rifle Club fired a stage for the season’s trophies at Otatara on Saturday afternoon, the ranges being 500 and GOO yards, ten shots at each. At 500 yards F. E. Wright shot well and headed the list with 48, his card reading: 554554555 5. A. Ford was next with 46. At 600 yards A. Ford (5 55355445 5—46) and J. T. INVERCARGILL DEFENCE CLUB. ' The third round of the Invercargill Defence Rifle Club’s championship was fired on Saturday afternoon in fine weather and favourable shooting conditions. The ranges were 500 and 600 yards, 10 shots at each. Some good scores were registered, some of the younger shots doing particularly well. At 500 yards the best score, 48, was made by W. E. Diack as follows:—s 4 5 4 5 5 5 5 5 5. A. Francis followed closely with 47. Of the young brigade L.- Henderson made 46 as follows: 555544454 5. F. McLean had 45. At 600 yards C. H.
