TROPICAL DELUGE
DAMAGE IN AUSTRALIA. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) Sydney, March 9. A violent storm with a tropical deluge caused much damage at Grenfell. Trees and electric cables were blown down and houses partially unroofed. A bed-ridden woman lay exposed to the rain for half an hour after the roof waa Lifted from het house before aid came. The shale od works at Newnes were disorganized by a cloudburst which put out of action machinery and silted up the railway.
