early statement promised. (United Press Assn.— By Telegraph—Copyright.) Ottawa, March 9. The Minister of Trade and Customs, Mr H. H. Stevens, announced that the House of Commons would be given a statement regarding the position of Canada in respect to the New Zealand treaty in the course of a few days. It is unofficially reported that the Government may suggest delay until after the Imperial Conference.
